From all appearances, Dr. Brian Scaff might be a slow learner... Not only does he keep attending continuing education courses regularly after over 25 years of dentistry, but he seems to be a bit behind in his personal life. At reunions, everyone else talks about grandkids. Dr. Scaff? He and his fabulous wife, Maggie, have two children, but Foster and Connally are both younger than ten. Dr. Scaff loves sports - skiing, watching Foster play ball, and UT athletics (especially football). Most of all, he loves being a dad.
Professionally, Dr. Scaff earned his BA at the University of Texas at Austin, followed by his DDS degree from UT Dental Branch at Houston in 1982. He has practiced in Northwest Austin since then, and he opened his current location in 1999. Dr. Scaff has attended five levels of the prestigious Pankey Institute in Florida, and he achieved his Fellow status in The Academy of General Dentistry in 1996. He is involved in local and state dental societies, a former president of the Capital Area Dental Society, and a former president of TADPA (another dental organization). Dr. Scaff has been involved with several organizations that provide dentistry to the less advantaged, and he loves his job.
